Research and educational resource center "Nanotechnology"

This center’s main scientific fields are modification of construction materials with the help of ion-plasma technology, as well as research on physical and chemical characteristics of construction and composite materials.

The center has 4 laboratories:

  • Nanomaterials and nanosystems computer modeling laboratory

  • Electronic microscopy laboratory

    Scanning electron microscope JCM–5700» (JEOL) with energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer JED–2300 is designed for quantitative and qualitative element analysis of construction and composite materials. 

  • Scanning probe microscopy and nanoengineering laboratory

    Scanning probe microscope NTEGRA Prima (NT–MDT) is designed for research on construction and composite morphology (adhesion strength, topography and roughness, specific surface area).

  • Modified materials laboratory

    Magnetron sputtering unit ADVAVAC VSM–200 is designed for forming multipurpose surfaces from metal and composite materials using magnetron sputtering method.

  • Laser and x-ray diffractometry
